Coach Pierce Ogden

Hi,
My name is Pierce Ogden; I am the founder of Fitness Next Door. I started personal training because exercise and fitness helped me develop from the adolescent I was into the adult that I am. Now, I want to share my passion and expertise with you.
I was always active as a kid but never participated in organized sports. I began participating in high school athletics where there was an overemphasized physical preparation. I understand how nervous and hard starting an exercise routine can be.
In college, I wanted to remain active and filled my free time with fitness and personal training. Exercise, nutrition, and health became my intellectual passion. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Gettysburg College in 2014 and a Master’s of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Miami in 2016.
After college, I spent the 4 years working with a variety of strength and conditioning programs, including DC United, University of Maryland, UMBC, and several high school sports programs. I learned how to use research and data to get you the best results. I learned how to motivate and encourage you to get you through the difficult times.
I found the most important thing to me is helping other people to find success, confidence, empowerment, and happiness/ fulfillment. To do this I had to find ways to minimize obstacles, keep people motivated, consistent, and working towards small changes.
I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Coach, and have 10 years of experience at various gyms and facilities.

Our club is located at my home in Laurel, MD. Our goal is to be close to you, so that health and fitness are always right next door.
